A match is played between two sides, each of 14 players, one of whom shall be Captain.

The Captains are responsible at all times for ensuring that play is conducted within The Spirit of Cricket as well as within these Playing Conditions.

Each Captain shall nominate 3 players plus a maximum of 3 substitute fielders in writing on the team sheet provided by the Players Welfare Society. No player (member of the playing 14) may be changed after the nomination without the consent of the Management of Players Welfare Society.

If a Captain is not available to nominate the players, then any person associated with that team may act as his wise captain to do so.

The umpires shall control the game as required by these Playing Conditions, with absolute impartiality and shall be present at the ground at least two hours before the scheduled start of play.

Players Welfare Society shall appoint on-field umpires, third umpire and fourth umpire for all matches. The fourth umpire shall act as the emergency on-field umpire. An umpire shall not be changed during the match, other than in exceptional circumstances, unless he/she is injured or ill.

The Players Welfare Society shall appoint the match referee for all matches.

Before the toss and during the match, the umpires shall satisfy themselves that the wickets are properly pitched, the creases are correctly marked etc.

The umpires shall be the sole judges of fair and unfair play.

Two drinks breaks per session shall be permitted, each 1 hour 30 minutes apart Under conditions of extreme heat, the umpires may permit extra intervals for drinks.

The bowler’s end umpire shall call Play before the first ball of the match and on the resumption of play after any interval or interruption.

The match shall consist of 2 sessions of 2 hours each, separated by a 20 minute interval between innings.

All matches will consist of one innings per side, each innings being limited to a maximum of 25 overs.

All matches shall be of one day’s scheduled duration.

The ball shall be bowled from each end alternately in overs of 6 balls.

6 runs shall be allowed for a boundary 6; and 4 runs for a boundary 4. A boundary 6 will be scored if and only if the ball has been struck by the bat and is first grounded beyond the boundary without having been in contact with the ground within the field of play. This shall apply even if the ball has previously touched a fielder. A boundary 4 will be scored when a ball that is grounded beyond the boundary: whether struck by the bat or not, was first grounded within the boundary or has not been struck by the bat.

The wicket-keeper is the only fielder permitted to wear gloves and external leg guards.

No fielder other than the wicket-keeper shall be permitted to wear gloves or external leg guards. In addition, Protection for the hand or fingers may be worn only with the consent of the umpires.

Protective helmets, when not in use by fielders, may not be placed on the ground, above the surface except behind the wicketkeeper and in line with both sets of stumps.

Any existing employee of the organization can not apply for association with any cricket team.

All the prizes in Rupees will be given by cheque in the name of Players.

Cheque / DD in favor of Players Welfare Society, payable at Jaunpur (UP).

The Society reserves the right to reject any application from without assigning any reason thereof.

In case of any dispute(s), difference(s), controversy(ies) whatsoever, the relevant contains of English Version of rules / regulations / clauses shall be the exclusive basis of settlement / resolutions of the said dispute(s), difference(s), controversy(ies).

In the event of any litigation, JAUNPUR court shall have jurisdiction.
